There was no clear consensus for creating a separate MP3 forum area. In fact, the Modern Vespa community was pretty evenly split on the subject.

However, I've always been of the opinion that the MP3 is different enough from every other scooter that it warrants a forum of its own. At the very least, it needs a forum area where owners can discuss MP3-specific issues. This is my blatant attempt to capture that audience and bring them to Modern Vespa.

If this doesn't work out, then it doesn't work out and we'll fold all the messages back into General Discussion. Let's see what happens. After all, I own an MP3, and I'd hate to have to have to go to a different forum to get my fix.

so the US model of the MP3 is really in KM large and MPH small?? that is gonna mess with my head big time going from my stella to the MP3...heck if my curry loving stella can have an American speedo you would think that piaggio could do that too

also, what part did you remove to add space for your helmet?

thanks for all the hard work

I think it does. not the first time Piaggio's done that on a bike they exported to the US - the X9 has that "feature" as well.

Even though I don't own a MP3 and at this time don't plan own buying one, I voted yes and still think it is a good idea. That being said, I will still check out what is happening in this sub-forum of MV. Who knows I might even spend next years tax refund on one if I read enough good things about them.

Thanks for adding this discussion area for the MP3. I truly believe that when I sell my BMW LT, later this year, I'll purchase an MP3. Hopefully, the 400 will be on the horizon, by then.

I've had my MP3 about 1500 miles, and appreciate very much the discussion group you have started. I have only been riding for about a year, but have had two other scooters in that time. The first was a UM 50cc. Too small, but lots of fun. The next was a Chinese model (Viva) Terrible quality. Now the MP3...terrific. Thanks for starting the discussion...I've learned so much!

OIL CHANGE
Just came across this web site while searching for information on oil changes for my recently purchased MP 3 (Apr. 30th/0 I saw all the valuable information, including clear and close up photos of an oil change for a 150. Got hooked so I joined, like right now. I belong to another scooter page but not too much info on the MP 3's. I reside in South West Florida where the weather is tropical like and great for riding at anytime of the year.
I just did the 600mile service at my dealer but I want to do an in-between change prior to my 6k service.

I guess that by now, we can agree that having the MP 3 Forum, was a good idea. Since becoming a member here, I have joined the Southeast Florida Scooters since they are physically closer to home, and I also belong to Maxi-scoots.com, but, in judging sites, this is truly the most user friendly of all three I belong to.
Great job on this site!
Thanks.

A MP3 Wanna be
Ahhhhh

Finally a place where I can speak with fellow MP3 luvr's. I am real close
on purchasing an MP3. Just viewing some of the info on this post really helps me when questions arise. One being gas mileage. I've read that
after the "break in" period....MP3's gas mileage should go up over 60 mpg.

.....if I can only get that "sky blue" color (250) on a (400)

Cool site

This is just redundant fluff.. but you should know by the activity...

It was GENIUS to create an MP3 Forum!

I want a 500 Forum so I can get away from those 125, 250, & 400's!
REALLY REALLY KIDDING - KEEP YOUR WHEELS LOCKED

I have only found one place as enthusiastic and it's Italian.
Don't know what they're saying, but they sure love their scooters.

Totally agree, get a separate Modern Vespa for MP3's, the 250,400,500's.

Jess, I loved your post. What a great description of the scooter. I am trying one out this weekend and am very excited after reading how much you love yours. As I am a small built female, I was afraid it might be too big, but am confident I can handle it after reading how easy it is to handle.

Yes yes yes yes let's have one
I really think we ought to have one MP3 discussion section. As said, it's different enough that it calls for specific info.
Let's have one!

Glad you are back in the saddle. Spring is a great time to ride. The feathers are not blocking your memory just the first post on this thread dated April 2007 so the MP3 forum is over 2 years old.

RA1 is my scooter, this is a name in China probably.

This scooter are exported from China, and name in Euro countries should be sports city.

The price is poor here, only 1000 Euro somthing.

I prefer to own a fuoco500ie here, but no dealer in the market yet.
