While you're making your plans for Summer, please, don't forget the San Francisco Bay Area "Ride for Kids" event, which will take place in Pleasanton, CA.

My goal this year is to have at least 100 scooters in attendance. Those that were there last year will attest to how great an event it was. The route is the same as last year, which means that there are no freeways. Any size scooter will be comfortable on the route we have selected.

We've updated the locations where you can get your RidePackets for the event. This is a fundraiser for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, who continues to fund research for the cure of the #1 Cancer killing our children.

Don’t forget; the San Francisco Bay Area “Ride for Kids” takes place on June 29, 2008. It takes place at the Pleasanton Middle School, 5001 Case Ave, Pleasanton, CA. Registration runs from 8 am – 9:45 a.m., followed by the police escorted ride at 10 a.m., Sharp!

I can attest that this is a great course for scooter pilots. I was there last year on my black GTS and had a great time. Its not the longest ride around but a very pretty one. Country roads, trees, roads with some nice curves...great roads for a scooter. This ride course is one of my weekly rides so I can attest to you that its a great course. Its also fun when a bunch of Scooter Pilots show up with all those V-Twin motorcycles riders.....just having them come over to check out your scooters...kind of funny. I have Victory motorcycle but decided last year to take the GTS instead....good choice. SO.....all you scooter Pilots.....lets get together for this ride..great ride...great fun...and most of all a great cause.
