THE SHIRTS
Design #1

Design #2

SHIRT INFORMATION:
• Shirts are 100% cotton and may shrink if you machine dry them, so please take that into account when you order.
• Measurements are as follows in inches:

ORDERING INFORMATION
STEP 1
Send an email to mvshirts@robotribe.com (using the SAME email account your PayPal account uses!!!) with the following information:
• In the subject line/header of the email, simply put "MV shirt order"
• Give me the following information EXACTLY like the following...
    1. Design #1 or #2
    2. Men's or Women's shirt, size
    3. Quantity

    Your full name
    Your shipping address

For example:
    1. Design #1
    2. Women's L
    3. 1

    1. Design #2
    2. Men's XL
    3. 1

    Herman Munster
    1313 Mockingbird Ln.
    Hollywood, CA 91608

WARNING: If you use a different email address to order than what's used for your PayPal account/transaction to communicate with me, there's a strong possibility that your order will be lost or delayed.

STEP 2
You'll receive an itemized invoice from me through PayPal. This means that I have the shirt you want in stock and it's yours to buy. PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED WITHIN 24 HOURS. There's a limited stock on hand and even though I'll have more produced in the future should they run out, I can't reserve shirts. So, only order if you're ready to pay through PayPal.

Those of you paying through check via PayPal, I'm sorry but I'll have to wait till PayPal let's me know the check cleared before I ship your shirt. I will, however, hold on to your shirt once PayPal let's me know you've paid a check to them and they're waiting for it to clear. This is the ONLY instance where I'll hold a shirt. If PayPal comes back to me letting me know the check hasn't cleared or there are insufficient funds, I'll have to put the shirt(s) you wanted back into inventory. No exceptions.

SHIPPING & HANDLING INFORMATION
Shipping and handling fees are as follows:
    Within N. America:
    • $5/shirt via USPS (includes delivery confirmation)
    • add $2 for each additional shirt

    Outside N. America:
    • $10/shirt via USPS
    • add $3 for each additional shirt

I will ship out packages twice a week and send you an email letting you know your package has shipped. I will include tracking with all orders, however, I cannot guarantee delivery times.

FAQ
Can I get the shirts in different colors than those shown?
No. It's just not practical for me and it adds additional challenge to tracking inventory. I did however, take a stab at least at offering some variation between shirt colors for Design #1. This is especially important for couples who don't want to look like they're attending a Sadie Hawkins high school dance, although, that option is available in Design #2. See? I think of everything.

Why are 2XL and 3XL shirts more expensive?
Those size shirts are $1.50 and $2.00 more respectively from the wholesale supplier. Rather than passing that extra cost on to everyone else, it seemed fair to just add it.

Can I pay using a check or money order instead of PayPal?
Sorry, but no. There are far too many issues with paying by personal check on my end and I want a very transparent and trackable purchase transaction which PayPal provides.

Can I pay using a major credit card?
Yes, you can, but only through PayPal.

Why are the shipping charges so high?
Postage fees have increased, but also, the fees are what they are because I'm offering my services outside of my normal routine, which includes a family and full time job. The time it takes to receive orders, fold shirts, package, print invoices, take packages to the postal office and email folks is valuable to me. Also, packaging materials cost money too. Lastly, the fuel it takes for that trip to the post office counts for something too. I learned the hard way last year that sometimes a Vespa just isn't practical transportation for carrying 30+ packages at a time to the post office.

Would you donate a shirt to my club raffle event?
Sorry, but no. I have no idea what demand will be like for these shirts and can't reserve a shirt as a donation if someone wants to buy it.

Are these shirts only available for a limited time?
No, however, availability at any given moment is limited to stock on hand. Also, they may eventually stop being produced if demand goes down. Put it this way, the more I produce at a time, the more realistic and economically feasible it is. The fewer I have produced, the more expensive it gets to do so. The minimum number of shirts I can have produced at a time is 25, and that's at a significantly higher cost per unit. So, the real answer is that they'll be available to purchase for as long as there's enough demand out there.

I don't like my shirt, OR my shirt doesn't fit and I want a different size.
I will give refunds via PayPal for any unworn, unwashed and undamaged shirts, minus the original shipping fees. Believe me, a washed shirt is pretty easy to spot so I will be looking out for that. I will do my best to exchange a returned shirt should you want a different size, but can't guarantee availability. The best way to avoid any of these scenarios is to look at the designs and sizing information very carefully before you order.

When will you start shipping shirts?
Immediately.

I live in So. Cal. Can we hook up to get my shirt so I can save on shipping fees?
Again, sorry but no. My weekends are as free as a Gitmo prisoner. Enough said. Plus, I'm really really shy.

Will wearing these shirts make me more attractive?
Definitely, but most likely for all the wrong reasons.

Do these shirts quality as protective riding gear?
They protect against poor taste, such as any other shirt you may have chosen to wear instead. However, the shirt offers as much impact resistance as a wet noodle and will shred should you find your body being dragged across a paved road.

Will different Modern Vespa shirts be offered in the future?
I hope so.

Done! Thank you!

(but under the 1,2, & 3 you forgot to tell us where to put what size we need - I added it in with #3 -- ex: "(1) XL")

This thread should be made a sticky by a mod!

Two questions:
1. Are the larger sizes in the Women's also more?

2. Don't you need a size with the order?

You say:
Quote:
• Give me the following information EXACTLY like the following...

1. Design #1 or #2
2. Men's or Women's shirt
3. Quantity

Your full name
Your shipping address

For example:

1. Design #1
2. Women's
3. 1

1. Design #2
2. Men's
3. 1

Maybe it should be more like (?):

1. Design #1
2. Women's XL
3. 1

And thank you for doing this!!

Wow!! It's looking like these women's shirts run super small width-wise and super long, length-wise. I normally wear a small, but it looks like I would need a large in these, or even an XL if they shrink. I am measuring the t's in my closet and am really confused ... the length is especially confusing to me. What do you girls think? How are you going to order these, size-wise ... up a size, down a size, or normal?

Will these be available at the Tahoe rally?

Sorry if that question is in poor taste. I'm not sure of the etiquette for these things.

I always need to get men's sizes in tee shirts, myself

My impression is that they tend to size women's tees for juniors
(not that there are that many juniors who could fit in them either, these days)

Exactly what I was thinking. I love the design and really want a shirt, but with the given dimensions, they won't fit. A medium shouldn't be 33" (16.5 x 2). I wonder if these are junior sizes? I'm normally a medium, but according to this I'd be a 2XL.

the sizing chart for these are done differently than other manufacturers. I suggest you really look and understand the sizing chart before ordering. If you're a S, its probably still a S.

Put my order in for S for both designs. Awesome Ted.

The measurement from armpit to armpit is across one side, back or front, not circumference or chest size. Sorry if that was confusing, but that seems to be a measurement system used often these days. Plus, it's easier to measure a t-shirt you already own this way with a ruler, instead of wrapping a tape measure around your upper torso.

Yes, of course we realize the measurements are from side to side, not all the way around. In comparing the size chart measurements to the various t's in my closet, they seem a bit off .... like perhaps they would fit Olive Oyl ... very long and skinny. I am a thin person and am considering ordering a large or even an xl. According to the size chart, they would fit me more like a tunic, and I am not short.

Robotribe, perhaps you could ask your wife her opinion on the women's sizing ... if they run true to size or not. I guess you have to be a woman to know what we are talking about. With men's sizing, a large is a large and a small is a small.

I love both designs ... they are beautiful. I am looking forward to ordering.

She's tried them on and they do fit like standard "women's t-shirts" (whatever that is, right?). Meaning, they're none too different than a fitted women's t-shirt she bought at Target or Old Navy. She's tiny--size 1 or 2 dress, generally, 5'4" tall and wears a size small. Same "fit" goes for the men's shirts, BTW. They're cut more snug or "true" than over-sized/loose, but not Armani Exchange tight either.

Could have been worse and been in dress sizes. You know, like how a Banana Republic size 2 is the same as a H&M size 4.

Not that I'd know, ahem, ahem...

girls, long and skinny is in. among other things, it means that no one has to see the plumber crack from wearing wearing low rise jeans- your shirt will pull down far enough in the back.

or if you tuck it in, it will stay tucked in.

... and there is lots to be said for that. i'm long in the waist and spent three years freezing my bum off when all that was available in the shops was these *^£@*&X$ 'shortie' t-shirts that end just below the rib cage.

anyhooo ... i digress. brilliant work (again) Ted, I've just placed my order (twice - please ignore the first one, i ordered the wrong size)

Hey, folks. Thanks to everyone who's paid so far. I'll get those shirts packaged and shipped in the next couple days.

For everyone else waiting on invoices, fear not, fret not--they are coming.
