This one's sort of a Frankenscooter,
but a very creative one:

It comes from the UK eBay and the seller describes it as a
"PUCH ALPINE SCOOTER,1959.
This scooter is modified.
The conversion is based on a SYM JOYRIDE 180cc, 4 stroke, 4 valve, liquid cooled twist and go scooter."

This looks to be a very nicely restored one
It's a "ISO MILANO 150cc DIVA" from 1959
The first picture is from before it was restored

Quite a beauty, and in my favorite color too!

This one's from eBay Italy, but sold from Cannes, France
The Google translation of some of the French:
Quote:
Piaggio V14T (August 1950)
in perfect working condition,
rare counter Veglia transmission with the front wheel. hoof aluminum wings ARDOR
first hand, Piaggio sold nine in France in August 1950 by the property, ACMA, carte grise of French origin.

Another really nice one, but in a completely different way

From the UK eBay
The seller wrote:
This is an original 1965 Maicoletta 250cc that I purchased from the importer Mr. Jones, in Bolton in 1965.

I have all paperwork and original log book, and have been the only careful and loving owner from new.

It has always been in excellent condition but I restored it completely anyway by having the frame and many parts powder coated, a professional respray and also a second 6V battery in parallel with original in order to improve starting.

I was briefly confused, because I thought you were talking about Will Rogers

This French ACMA is decorated with a period "Will Rogers style"
and that style will never come back

Here's an unusual one from eBay France

It's a "Motobécane MOBY-SCOOTER de 1955 (125cc)"
and not yet restored

Linda - have you ever seen a British "Corgi" scooter?

Look up the corgi, and the history of it. I think you would get a kick out of it.

Wow, that's a tough search, mostly got back Corgi dogs named scooter. They look coolthough , real low rider look with the long handlebars, and I dig the push start/pop the clutch since they don't have kick starts.

A folding scooter they parachuted in with the British paratroopers, i guess. Or they planned to, anyways.

The Welbilt Corgie is cool...

But its rebranding as an Indian "Papoose" is a classic!

This one's more of a work of art than a mode of transportation

Described by it's UK eBay seller:
Quote:
VESPA PX125E MK1 (T5) CUSTOM
1983 PX frame fitted with a fully rebuilt immaculate standard T5 engine breathing through a stainless steel scorpion exhaust.(runs sweet as a peach!)

Paint & Murals by Si Clark (stunning multi colour flash candies over a black & eerie dess basecoat)

Extensive engraving by Adi Clark (few bits by Peter Robinson)

Chrome by Karl Russel (Quality Chrome)

Seat fabricated by Andy Nixon

This Custom has had over £14,000 spent on it and comes complete with ALL the extensive filed receipts to prove the fact (even right down to the dustcaps!)

One-off bits include= Twisted standard length forks, totally original chrome/engraved panel plates, speedo face, light shroud, floorplate.

I'm not here...
But this one is WAY too good not to share!

It's an old Triton Cafe Racer--which is a Triumph/Norton hybrid
This is a classic example of how they used to super-customize motorcycles
Please see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triton_motorcycle

I'd be afraid to ride that scooter but I would anyway. What an awesome work of art!

That's cool

You're close, but this one's actually Italian
It's a 1963 50cc Gilera & it doesn't look like there are many left to photograph

(BTW,
if you like this sort of thing, there are some very cool old scooters
at: http://zwotakt.de/menue/Roller.html

1958 Peugeot S 57 C
Love those old scooters!!

This is an unusual one:

The more common Peugeot S 57 model looks like this:

And they both look a bit like the Lambrettas of that time:

Plus, the metalwork is similar to that that you also see on ACMA Vespas,
which inspired many Asian restorations like this one:

(which some consider unfortunate)

Sometimes the rust patterns on scooter relics are really cool

I suspect this 55 Vespa must have other things going for it as well
The bids for it are already up to 1800 Euro

Because there is one on eBay right now

I'm not sure this one should be encouraged
It honors the movie "The Mummy"
But I saw this movie on an airplane and I have to admit--the scooter is true to the spirit of the movie
