I've changed my original catalytic exhaust for a SITO PLUS exhaust without cat. As you can see on the pics (if you click on them you go to the Sito site) they almost look the same. You can see that the Sito has the "SITO" logo on the chromed plastic heat deflector plate. The deflectorplate on the original item is made of stainless steel (ss). It also misses the steel heat deflectorplate on the downpipe. You have to remove this from the original to the Sito exhaust. There's an enormous difference in weight between the two exhausts. I think the Sito only weighs half the weight of the original item. Unfortunatly I don't have a balans to check it out. I wanted to change the ugly chromed plastic plate from the Sito with the ss plate from the original exhaust. Problem is that there's one centimeter difference in distance between the two bolts on the rear of the exhaust (original 9,2 cm and the Sito 8,2 cm). The ss plate is fitted to the exhaust with rather "thick" rubber mountings. I've adapted these to compensate the centimeter difference. As you can see on the pic below, I've cut a little bit from the rubbers so I can fit the bolts and make sure it don't rattles. You have to line the "cutouts" in the rubber toward each other and bolt the hole thing together using some locktite.

VoilĂ , Sito exhaust with original looks.

Nice 1 - we also have an LX125 with a Sito... should get the scoot up to the 12bhp of the original pre-cat ET4 (as it is near enough the standard, non-cat pipe) from 10.5 or so standard.. so, more BHP than a standard LX150..

With the Sito Plus & a small fly-screen the scooter sits at 60-65 mph (indicated) & often hits 70... the standard 125 quoted top speed is 59.. so not bad..

Also, doesn't need repainting so often as the standard pipe (as it runs cooler due to no cat)

Nice job, LX125. How's it running with the Sito? How would you compare the sound of the two pipes?

Take care,
Gary

I have the Sito on my ET and I believe the sound is not much different than the stock exhaust. It is a deeper tone, but it is not like the much louder performance pipes like PM and Scorpion. I also have the small flyscreen and I can maintain 60mph with no problems.

BTW: I will be selling my ET and misc parts this weekend. I will list the items in the For sale/wanted forum here first. Then after a week or so it all goes on ebay if there is anything left. First come, first serve. I am a reputable seller, ebay name: mystuff4sale2u. SO, if you are looking for an ET, windscreen and Sito plus keep your eyes peeled this weekend....

As Happy says the sound is almost the same. Indeed maybe a littl deeper.
My cousin has one and when we drove together (with my PM 56 SS)
the performance was almost the same.
